An opera-ballet-film performance following a world-recognized photographer creating a documentary about his own life. The protagonist is split into three performers: an actor on screen plus two alter egos on stage, a contemporary dancer and an opera baritone.
The piece examines the pressure society places on individuals to achieve exceptional success, while exploring the true meaning of happiness and what it means to be "a common man." Through originally composed music for soprano, baritone, string quartet, piano, synthesizer, and choir, the work traces the protagonist's relationships with work, family, health, and spirituality.
